This series records disbursements from the state treasury authorized by the state auditor for the payment of Confederate pensions. In 1907 the Confederate pension system of the State of Ala. underwent revision. This revision resulted in all pensioners being divided into four categories or classes. The class determined the amount of pension payment. This series records the name of the pensioner, the pension number, and the amount due. This information can also be found in the Confederate Veterans Pension Applications series (SX-510-2).
